How payouts work
When tips become available to withdraw, when payouts can be requested, and how long transfers usually take.
When your tips become withdrawable
Local-currency (KES, GHS, NGN) tips are usually settled on the next business day, while international timing varies. Every tip remains pending until Flutterwave confirms that its settlement is completed. Flutterwave may show an estimated due date, but that date is not a guarantee that the money is already available.
Once those tips clear, they move into your withdrawable balance and you can request a payout on an eligible weekday.
Weekends and public holidays
Withdrawals are only processed on business days. You cannot withdraw on:
- Saturdays
- Sundays
- Public holidays in your country
This is not a Myhappr limitation. Our payment provider does not process bank transfers on weekends or public holidays. This is standard across the banking industry.
If you try to withdraw on a non-business day, you will see a clear message explaining why and telling you exactly when the next business day is.
How settlement and business days combine
Key settlement facts:
Local-currency tips are normally scheduled for the next business day.
International-currency tips, including USD and CAD, become withdrawable only after Flutterwave confirms settlement. Any displayed due date is an estimate.
Weekends and public holidays do not count as business days, so settlement can take longer in calendar days.

How to withdraw
- Go to the Withdrawals page
- Check your available balance
- Set up your 4-digit Withdrawal PIN (if you haven't already)
- Enter your 4-digit Withdrawal PIN to authorize the request
- Request a 6-digit OTP via email and enter it to verify
- Your withdrawal is processed
- You receive an email when it settles to your bank or mobile money
How long does it take?
Once your balance is withdrawable and you request a payout on a business day, transfers usually arrive very quickly, often within minutes. We will email you when the payout lands in your bank account or mobile money wallet.
Withdrawal fee
Withdrawals are 100% free: the full available balance is sent to your payout account. Supporters cover creator payout costs at checkout. Historical withdrawals keep their original fee records. Settlement rules and withdrawal minimums still apply.
One withdrawal at a time
You can only have one active withdrawal at a time. If a withdrawal is in progress, you cannot initiate another one until it completes.
